Linar Audio Model 2 Preamplifier

For sale is one used Linar Audio Model 2 preamplifier in very good condition.

This preamp is from Victor Sima after he left Simaudio, the other company he started.

This fantastic preamp is an all solid state line level preamp featuring J-FET transistors in a complimentary symmetrical architecture from input to output. It has a one stage gain design and no negative feedback. It has fully balanced input and output connections. It uses a logarithmic volume attenuator with network resistors and controlled by a microcontroller to avoid the pitfalls of the classic mechanical volume control. The same resistor network is also used for the balance control without adding any parts.

It has six sets of line level inputs and four sets of outputs. It has soft touch front panels switches and a full function remote to control volume, balance, source and display on/off.

This is a superb sounding preamp. Transparency and resolution are very high at all frequencies with superb dynamics. It is very musical and natural sounding. One of my all-time favorite preamps.

The sticker on the back of the unit says it is 220 VAC but I have confirmation from Gilles Dupuis of Linar Audio that the internal wiring is correct for North American 110/VAC and has not been modified.

Physical condition is very good. There are no scratches or blemishes. And the front panel lighting works perfectly.

This will ship in the original factory box and will be well packaged for safe delivery.
