This is Krells latest integrated amplifier ,which is powerful dynamic and musical.This amplifier has 16 High Current Mosfet transistors in it’s design with technologies borrowed from their flagship Pre-Power amp precision surface mount design technologies . Hifi News and Review did a excellent review on the S- 550 a year ago, Please Note this amp is noticeably better then the review sample with the HD-3 power cord, and fuses. $750 dollars worth of extras- included.The Mosfets are in part why it is so natural in tonal balance with a very wide Soundstage with very detailed Imaging.The Bass is very fast and Powerful.
