UP for sale is a Krell KSA-100S class A power amp and a KRC-2 fully balanced line preamplifier for the discerning audiophile. Both units are in excellent condition and have hardly been used. They have been stored in their original packing material and boxes (as they came from the factory), for many years now. I paid close to $10,000 for these amps alone, and I hate to get rid of them but they are not being used or appreciated and I would rather a true music lover get to enjoy them. These units are like brand new and I would like to hand them over to someone who will appreciate them, not only for the sound but also for the condition. Every inch a Krell, from the custom-extruded anodized handles to the gold-plated laser-engraved binding posts, fit and finish of the KSA-100S and KRC-2 are of the highest quality. Heck, even Krell does not make them like this anymore. You cannot go wrong at $3,500 for the pair - you will not find a cleaner set guaranteed! Serious buyers only please. Both items are being sold together and will not be separated. Buyer will be responsible for the shipping, and will have to make arrangements for the items to be picked up, or I can drop off at local UPS, Fedex or shipping company. If you see this add, the item is still for sale.
Questions for the seller
Q: Does the KSA100S have the torodial (round) K transformer? Is everything fully operational? how many years in storage? just curious. caps ok? OBM, near mint conditions? My ebay feedback is jeffr327 thank you! Jeff
A: Hi Jeff, I purchased the system around 96 and used it on and off till around 98. Then they were boxed up till around 2000. Used them again in 02 and 03 for a bit and they have been boxed up since then. Yes, the KSA does have the round transformer. If you send me your email or phone number, I can answer any other questions you have. Here are some additional pics for you to view - http://orlando.craigslist.org/ele/3646718847.html
Q: Ray, did you list this amp previously on ebay? I recall a mint KSA100S with pics that was like new! How much do you think the shipping expenditures would be to 06484? As you know, this is eighteen years old fully intact and may be prone to cap/transistor replacement? Yes, the pics speak for themselves! Frankly, I am looking at the Von Gaylord Starlet as an alternative however, I am capitivated with your system! Yes, my reference system is Krell. Do you have any flexibility on your asking price? Kind Regards, Jeff
A: Jeff, I have several individuals that are interested, apart from two that are in FL, the rest are all out of state. As I mentioned in the listing, I would prefer the items to be picked up - they are in my home (climate controlled and smoke free). In the factory boxes the amps are rather bulky and not the easiest things to move around. KSA-100S is 23x14x23 inches and weighs around 95 lbs KRC-2 is 26x10x24 inches and weighs around 26 lbs I think they were delivered to me via fedex - I believe they are the preferred courier when the packages are large and require careful handling. I have never dealt with any freight companies, so I don’t know what they would charge for a pickup etc.
Q: would you sell the preamp? how much? thanks
A: No, I am selling the amps together.
