Forssell MC-2 Pro Audio Preamp

For sale is a used Monitor Controller from Forssell Technologies Inc (MC-2).I utilized this unit as a monitor controller in my smoke-free home recording studio and as a preamp in my audiophile listening system.

I had Fred make this unit for me because I wanted a top quality preamp that did not have a bunch of features that I will never use.

The unit was purchased new in May 2011 directly from Fred Forssell at a cost of $2195.00

Fred Forssell is well known in the Pro Audio industry, and his products are frequently mentioned when forum discussion evolve around "which is the best?"

The controller has two selectable XLR inputs, and one pair each of XLR and RCA outputs. The XLR and RCA outputs may be utilized in parallel, both circuits using the same level controller. The active circuitry is based on discrete JFET components and is entirely DC coupled (no capacitors in the signal path). I have recently converted my monitoring system to utilize digital crossovers which entails four digital-to-analog channels each with discrete digital level control (meaning this unit no longer works in my setup).

The unit is in perfect functional condition (10/10), and very good physical condition (7/10). . The unit has a couple of very small surface imperfections on the front face, thus the 7/10 rating. My audio components are powered from a voltage regulated source
