Questions for the seller
Hello, my friend might be buying a used Devialet 200 that is in his lower price range. He was also looking at a Linn amp setup for the same amount. Have you been happy with your Devialet? I am trying to give him some advice on it and have no experience with the Devialet setup. Thank you! Paul
Hi Paul, The Devialet is a surprisingly very good machine. Surprising given its size that is. I purchased the Devialet to play LPs and I swear I could not tell I was listening to digitized vinyl! It's seriously good. I never used it as a dac as I have a pretty good one and never felt like trying it. But I guess the DAC must be good given the A2D and then D2A conversion on vinyl... The setup can be a bit tricky, given the website and manual is a bit vague. But once you get it, you're good and you'll be changing settings back and forth until you settle on the one you like. What speakers does your friend have? I've heard the D400 is the one to get depending on speakers. I think RH from TAS recommends the D400 more, too. Is he buying new or used? allen
