Classe CP-800 Preamp/DAC Flawless Condition

This is an original CP-800 with the USB input limited to 96 kHz sampling rate. However, the AES/EBU and S/PDIF inputs will handle sampling rates up to 192 kHz. This particular CP-800 has no apparent cosmetic flaws and includes the original packaging, remote, power cable, and all other accessories. Classe does not provide a printed copy of the owner's manual, but it can be downloaded from their website, or I can send an electronic copy by email. I purchased this CP-800 last fall from another Audiogon member and have enjoyed it immensely. It is a great choice for folks who have a combination of analog and digital sources and includes an Apple-compatible, front-mounted USB port that extracts digital data from an iPhone or iPod Touch. Plus, the CP-800 has the best tone controls and EQ options of any preamp I've ever encountered; all while maintaining a transparent, high-end sound quality. 4-14-14 Update: This unit can be upgraded with Classe's current digital input board at a Classe dealer or at the factory. This upgrade adds 24/196 capability to the USB input and activates the ethernet port, which allows streaming and connection to a NAS drive. The cost of this upgrade is $1000 USD. New CP-800's have increased in price by $1000 USD and now list for $6000 USD.
