For Sale: One Classe CA2300 Solid State Power Amplifier, an amplifier with massive power, high current, very detailed sound at even very low volumes, and drop-dead beauty.

It is used, but in FANTASTIC shape, and comes with the box, packing, fabric bag, power cord, and the USB Thumb Drive with the manual on it!

This amp will work well with any great speaker, but would be a SUPER match to a set of B&W speakers. The two companies are attached at the hip and their products are designed with each other’s in mind. They make beautiful music together.

When most B&W speakers dip to 3.2-Ohms in the bass, this amp is ready and delivers almost 700 Watts per channel continuous power at that impedance.

Even the shipping carton is unusual. It’s made or multi-layer PLASTIC so it will not deteriorate, and the pieces FOLD OUT when opened to make the amp easier to pack and unpack. This might be the best shipping carton design I have ever seen in 30+ years in the business.

This is a massively powerful amp. It was rated, into 8-Ohms, at 300 Watts per channel. Into 4-Ohms, it doubles to 600 Watts per channel.

Noise, at -116dB, will never be an issue.

This amp should have enough power to get great performance from just about any speaker you can think of. I simply could not get it to audibly clip in my system.

The construction in this amp is first rate. It’s a model of neatness inside.

This amp has great a number of transistors per channel so each transistor is never stressed. It has both Balanced and Unbalanced inputs.

This amp has MASSIVE speaker terminals, they are insulated for safety, and there are two sets to make bi-wiring simple.

THE SOUND:

The standout feature of this amp is the ability “open up” at extremely low volumes.

The highs are smooth, the mids are detailed, and the bass goes very deep…all without having to “crank it up” unlike many other high-power amplifiers.

Construction-wise, this amp is like a brick. All the metalwork is first-rate, and the special INTERNAL heatsinks keep it running cool even after long periods of listening.

Having no exposed heatsinks makes the spouse acceptance factor go WAY up compared to other powerhouse amps.
