Conducting a massive downsizing and sell-off due to retirement.
Selling one of my favorite combos: By Burson Audio.
This includes: - two (2) of their spectacular Timekeeper amps - 80 wpc in stereo and up to 240 wpc mono ($2600 each retail) (and) - one top of the line, Conductor Reference Class Dac/preamp/headphone amp. ($1895 retail)
Each unit also has been upgraded with a $117 each Audio Horizons Platinum reference fuse.
The package price has already been significantly discounted for a quick and easy sale. I would like to sell as a set, but will break-up for truly committed buyers
On a price to performance this set up is spectacular. In absolute performance, it is superb. All in a small form factor.
There have been a lot of good things written about each of these pieces. Most people know about how well their headphone amps perform, but the Timekeepers amps are also stunning. They are excellent stereo amps or for vertically bi-amping, but have extra magic when used as mono amps. Please do a search and read the great reviews and details.
The Conductor Reference Class is their top of the line version
All items are excellent to near-mint and come with their original Burson boxes and manual.
The Timekeeper Amp
Through the Timekeeper, Burson demonstrates the Burson approach with this timeless creation. consistent with the Burson less is more philosophy, the Timekeeper employs a new symmetrical bipolar transistor voltage gain stage. It is powered by a customized 300W transformer delivering 80W RMS PC. With its 40,000uF of power reserve, the Timekeeper is capable of achieving 300W of peak power which ensures absolute control with the finest micro details audible at all times.
In Bridged Mode Apart from working as a stereo power amp the Timekeeper also works in mono block configuration delivering up to 240W RMS of power.
In this mode, when a standard line level signal comes into the Timekeeper, a FET input stage splits the signal into two halves. (+ and -). One of the Timekeeper channels then amplifies just the + signal while the other channel amplifies just the - signal. After amplification the two halves are recombined at the output.
In this mode, the Timekeeper doubles in voltage swing. It not only improves macro-dynamics, but also micro-dynamics through its extra power reserve.
In this mode, the Timekeeper will have even the most demanding speakers under its absolute control.
Furthermore, the Timekeeper accepts both RCA and XLR input signals when operating in Bridge Mode. This ensures that any source component and not just those with XLR output can take advantage of this configuration.

Conductor Reference Class DAC/Headphone Amp/Preamp
The DAC
The ESS SABRE32 Reference DAC chip. 32-bit Hyper-stream DAC architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technologyvthe SABRE32 is one of the best and most expensive DAC chips in the world and is truly reference class.
The Headphone Amp
Features the well regarded Soloist Headphone Amplifier. Burson had to deploy another 35W customised transformer to ensure that the Soloist circuitry is independent and optimised at all times. Burson didn’t simply solder a piece of wire from the headphone output jack to create an unrefined preamp.
The Preamp
The preamp output has been extracted from the voltage gain stage before the current gain section, to create a preamp that reflects the full potential of the FET output stage, and the less is more philosophy.
24bit/192khz Tenor TE8802 USB receiver working in Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
Accepts coaxial and Toslink inputs supporting 32bit/192khz audio files.
Accepts analogue input via RCA and outputs in 6.35mm headphone jack, line-level output (DAC) and variable output (preamp).
Features a new Variable Output Stage (VOS), enabling the Conductor to match well with any type of headphone.
Low Noise Power Supply An athlete needs clean air to perform at an optimum standard - audio equipment needs clean power to reproduce transparent and natural music.
The new Conductor has taken the already fanatical IC free power supply of their first generation HA-160 to the next level. The result is even cleaner even more energetic music reproduction.
Resonance Free Aluminum Enclosure The Conductor is housed in a 6mm case, constructed from high precision machined aluminum. This enclosure allows the Conductor, to achieve a very high mechanical damping factor, which reduces any microphonic effects, that may degrade the clarity of sonic performance. The enclosure was also constructed to act as a giant heat-sink, which allows the Class-A headamp to run cooler, and remain optimized at all times.
