Mint Burmester 870 Preamp with built in DAC, chrome faceplate.

870's preamp section is identical to the legendary 877 preamp. The difference between 877 and 870 is that 870 comes with a DAC instead of MC phono.

It also has a tape loop (RCA) and a tuner input (mini XLR). Output includes tape loop (RCA), unbalanced (RCA) and XLR (for use with other Burmester power amps).

Unit is 220V and works perfect. Near reference quality sound, extremely rare.

Trade will be considered if you are local and willing to come to my home in Central Jersey. I could use a Lamm L1 preamp, high efficiency horn speakers especially Ledhund or Lowther. High current class A power amp will be considered as well.

I have to fend off the late rash of abusive joy-purchasers, parts swappers, and home audition free-riders.

Joy purchase (change of heart after buying it, and then falsify the working condition as an excuse to return it as an defective unit) will be assessed a 95% restocking charge.

Any mis-use or abuse of the unit will deem it un-returnable. I have dealt with some guy who deliberately throw my CD player onto the ground and then claimed it was UPS damage, as an excuse to return something he didn't want any more. Look, it is easy to tell if something is damaged en route, from deliberate abuse / mis-use. Spilling coffee, snapping the whole volume control knob out.... etc .... I have seen it all. I could wrote a book on it! I am more than happy to file a police report if I see something suspicious.

Any unauthorized attempt to modify the unit --- including, but not limited to, 'repair', or 'upgrade' or 'tweak' ---- will deem the unit un-returnable. If you find any issue, you must report it within 3 days of receipt. Otherwise, the unit may be deem un-returnable. Any un-returnable unit shipped back to me will be considered as your very kind loaner to me.

(If you are going to be away for weeks, I could hold shipping for you after you paid - but please, don't hold payment for weeks nor tell me the unit was sitting around for weeks before you open the box)

Anybody trying to do the parts-swap-scam will be reported to the law enforcement. I have dealt with somebody once and got him arrested. I will do it again if necessary.

If you don't agree, look elsewhere. I am an easy going and honest seller for years, but that doesn't mean I am here to be taken advantage of.
