NOTE:
All USSR flexi records have the low sound quality. This is NOT a record for high sound lovers. Item for collectors only.

This various artists compilation 7" flexi EP contains "Birthday" performed by The Beatles as track 1 of side 1. The track is in mono and has usual running time.
"Birthday" with the same three other tracks was released (also in mono) on 7" EP of the same title but with absolutely different catalogue number. Gatefold title sleeve for this 7" flexi EP by All-Union Recording Studio resembles the title sleeve for the 7" EP by Aprelevka Plant.
The band’s name is not stated either on the sleeve and flexi (like other bands’ names as well). Front side of the sleeve carries all song titles in Russian. Near song titles on the back side of gatefold sleeve only country and author(s) are listed and The Beatles song is presented as following (to translate from Russian):
"Birthday (J. Lennon, P. McCartney)
ENGLAND
in English".
On the flexi only song title in Russian is listed.
Catalogue number is not listed either on the gatefold sleeve or flexi itself. "TU 43-03-48-73" stated below Melodiya’s logo in the upper right corner of back side of gatefold sleeve means 1973 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS # 43-03-48 (for manufacturing flexi records) but not a catalogue number of record as many people think.
The lower part of the back side of gatefold sleeve says the following:
All-Union Recording Studio – Melodiya’s manufacturing division, which released this record,
Article 09-3,
the price of the flexi with the sleeve (60 kopecks).
This flexi EP was released between 1974 and 1978.

Worldwide postage for 1-20 Flexi EPs: 15 USD.
