When this receiver first hit the market, I just had to own one. The write-ups were great, and I knew it would take my in-home theater room to whole new level. Unfortunately, construction costs for the theater room steadily increased to the point were our original budget was exceeded by $9K. I still wanted the receiver, so I ended up buying a 'Refurbished' receiver for $691.

Now that I'm transitioning all of the house to a series of 2-channel systems, I'm selling this receiver too.

The receiver and remote will be packed securely, and shipped within the US only!

Questions for the seller
Other than the 'refurbished' status, are there other reasons for the 7/10 rating? Does this unit have HDMI inputs, and if so, how many? Does it have Audessy (or some other) auto room correction/equaliztion? Does it have the ARC (smart TV Audio Return Channel)? Thanks for your time and info. Regards, Rich
Good Morning. On this audigon site, I always choose to under-rate any items I sell, because I never know exactly how someone else would choose to rate the same item. For example, I once read a person's post where a buyer commented that a brand new item removed from its' box/package could not be a 10/10; at best it could only be a 9/10. Reading that comment was a true eye-opening experience for me. When I buy various items, I'm usually interested in the answer to three questions. First, does the item work the way the manufacturer intended it to work? Second, is there any damage (ie. Broken parts, or significant structural damage/markings)? Finally, I usually ask if the item was used in an environment where people smoked? (I don't smoke, so I hate the odor that is emitted from a piece of electronic equipment that has been used in an environment where people smoked. Not to mention the nasty residue that is usually present on the piece of equipment; most people don't realize it's there until they go to wipe off/clean the item). The receiver has (4) HDMI inputs, and (1) HDMI output. The receiver has the room calibration feature (yes, I believe it's referenced as 'Audessy'; you'll have to get a microphone. I set my audio equipment up manually with the use of other types of setup/measurement equipment, so the receiver's auto-setup features were not important to me. As far as the 'ARC' feature you referenced; I'm not sure I'm familiar with that option. May I suggest that you do an internet search (ie. Google) on the Onkyo TXSR-875 receiver to see if this 'ARC' feature exits for this model receiver. Charles
Hi again Charles. I am a bit concerned that I have not received a reply from you. I hope all is well on your end. I would like to purchase this receiver from you, so please let me know if you wish to make the deal. Please respond so that I will know if you wish to sell so that if not, I can move on and seek out other possibilities. Thanks in advance. Regards, Rich
Good morning. I sent a message a few days ago; someone bought the receiver the same day we were exchanging e-mails. Once the person hit the BUY button the listing was removed from the audiogon listings; I think the message you just sent me was via the old listing from this past week.
