Selling a very high quality vertical compression (VC) anamorphic lens with glass optics, for home theater projectors to convert from 16:9 aspect ratio to 2.37:1.
It gets rid of the black bars on your movies (and games). Make sure you have a Cinemascope aspect screen and you're set.
I bought it last winter but found myself mostly watching 16:9 shows and games so I'd rather it find a home for someone who will use it all the time.
I'm only asking what I paid for it, plus shipping. It's much harder to find VC lenses since they are rarer and buying this used is less than half the price of buying a brand new Panamorph, for example. There isn't a single issue in the optics, it's razor sharp and very clear.
You will need to mount it yourself to whatever projector you are using, using another telescoping projector mount for 25 dollars or so on Amazon, plus some wood or metal.
It should work on any projector, high end or low end. I used it on my BenQ w1070 and it looked great!
The added sharpness and brightness is definitely worth it, especially in 3D. PC gaming is also great on this, make a custom desktop resolution of 2560x1080 or 1920x810, enable GPU scaling to stretch and you're all set, ultra wide screen all the time.
