VX-1000ci incorporates Runco's exclusive GEN 3 engineering advancements. Runco has engineered its GEN 3 products to make more efficient use of optical light engine design. Runco has implemented a host of advancements into this new engine to take full advantage of Texas Instrument's latest HD-2, widescreen high definition DMD™ chip.

The scaler is sensitive to heat, so I recommend that it be run with the cover off.  With the cover on, in a hot equipment rack, it can heat to the point where the screen goes blank.  With the cover off, I have had no problems.
