Yamaha Aventage RX-A1030 7.2 surround receiver or pre/pro, brand new A stock, ESS Sabre DACs

Yamaha RX-A1030 7.2 network surround receiver, serial #Y140083WY, new in sealed box.

This is brand new, A-stock from an authorized Aventage dealer, not ebay, gray market, B-stock, or refurbished junk. I am a fairly demanding audiophile (see my other listings for Bryston, VPI, Wilson gear) and I listened to literally a dozen pre/pros and receivers before I settled on buying this.

Alas, my wife has put the brakes on turning our remodeled living room into a home theater so this will have to go.

I will say what I loved about this (when auditioned in a proper showroom) is that it is transparent (fine preamp section), has terrific sounding D/A conversion, and works well with high end gear. I planned to use it as a pre/pro and DAC (full preamp outputs and ESS Sabre DACs) but even the internal amplifiers are high end: this is the first receiver I heard that actually produces robust bass without the thin, hazy sound of most receivers.

As far as price, I think it is a good value at full retail ($1200) but I scoured every website and ebay listing to make sure I priced this the lowest you can find anywhere: $785. I think this is tremendous bang for the buck.
