Unit will be configured to use Xtreme DAC as “Left / Right / Center / Sub1” and the Premium DAC as “Surround Left / Surround Right / Back Left / Back Right”. However, this configuration can be changed to any other configuration to meet your need.

Casablanca IV has the new PR3 digital signal processing card. In addition to supporting hi-res 24/192 audio and room correction, a complete re-design in the digital architecture was done. In the CB3/CB3HD when you had a digital source it would come in the Digi in card and then get passed to PR2 for processing and then if it required DTS for instance it would have to get sent to the DTS card and then back to PR2 and then get dropped on the bus to be sent to the DACS. With PR3 (Casablanca 4) it all takes place on one card at very high speeds and then voila gets dropped on the bus and heads to the DACs. No back and forth any longer. What does that do ? It simply makes it sound better. Lower jitter and overall better sound.
