4 HDMI Inputs Each of the four HDMI® inputs is assignable, and all are HDMI version 1.3a. This includes support for bitstream input of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD High Resolution and Master Audio in addition to support for multi-channel PCM, DSD (SACD’s), and legacy Dolby Digital and DTS bitstreams. On the video side there is 12-bit Deep Color™ and lip sync correction.

2 HDMI Outputs The PR-SC886 offers two HDMI outputs, allowing two separate HD displays (such as a plasma or LCD flat panel and a front projector) to be connected to the PR-SC886 without an external splitter. Both outputs will receive the benefit of the Silicon Optix Reon HQV video processor. Only one output is active at a time. The active input can be changed in the PR-SC886’s setup menu (via the “HDMI Monitor” setting under “Input/Output Assign” and “Monitor Output”) or using the “HDMI Output” button on the front panel.

3 100MHz Component Video Inputs and 2 Component Video Outputs Each of the three component video inputs are assignable. One component video output is assignable to either main or second zone monitor output.

HDMI upscaling of composite, s-video, and component video sources Any analog or digital video input can be upconverted to the HDMI output at resolutions up to 720p, 1080i, and 1080p/60. Video processing is provided by the Silicon Optix™ Reon-VX HQV® processor.

1080p/24 Support The PR-SC886 will automatically pass 1080p/24 signals through unaltered.

Transcoding of analog video sources Composite and S-video inputs can be transcoded to component video outputs, and composite and S-video inputs can be interchanged with S-video and composite outputs.
