Meridian DVD 800 Reference DVD / CD Player v3 (Component video out, NOT DVI)

This is a used player, approximately 10 years old with very little actual use, maybe 100-200 hours. It is the rack-mount version and as such has NO REAR CASE, though one can be attached without a problem. Even without a rear case there are no exposed electronics and it still has feet and will set on a cabinet shelf just fine. The main difference is that the faceplate is re-shaped on the back side to allow installation in a Middle Atlantic rack if desired. If you must have a case, I can get a new one of those for you as well, but am unsure about the price (probably almost as much as this listing).

The cosmetic condition of this player is good overall, but it has been installed in a rack, and as such has a few scratches on it, but NONE the front. I did my best to photograph them. If someone is serious, I will make a better attempt to get pictures.

The player is in perfect working condition. The power supply has been replaced (by Meridian) to a new original spec unit (switch mode, not linear).

Description (from meridian):

For over 20 years, Meridian has created superior optical disc players that have delivered better and better sound quality with each successive generation, keeping step with continually improving digital recording and disc mastering techniques.

Important milestones were the identification and near-eradication of player design problems including jitter, mechanical feedback, servo instability, playability, converter linearity and interface design, along with support for DVD-Audio.

Bob Stuart, Meridian’s chief designer, was heavily involved in the evolution of audio formats for DVD – resulting in MLP (Meridian Lossless Packing) being selected as the definitive coding system for the DVD-Audio format.

The 800 offers the kind of features needed to exploit DVD in a high-end home theatre, to interface with state-of-the-art digital surround processors (such as the Meridian 861) and to handle the latest high-quality projection and plasma systems.

Questions for the seller
Hi, The specs mention analog out but there is no card mentioned. Is there RCA and XLR analog out?
Actually, the word "analog" does not appear anywhere in my post, so I'm not sure where you got that from. There were several optional analog cards (with the prefix "OA" in the name), but this unit does not have one of those cards.
Do you have paperwork that you can include showing when the ps was replaced
I looked for the invoice, but could not find it. I have e-mails from June 2008 when it was sent in for repair. And aside from confirming operation after the repair, it has remained in the box unused.
