Martin Logan CLS I New Panel!!

This is a pair of the Martin Logan CLS I speakers. The frames appear to have been refinished by a previous owner, and are in decent condition (please see photos), but by no means perfect. The speakers have one new panel (2015 manufactured) and one panel that I bought new in late 2010. I had bought a pair of new panels in 2010, but one of the panels developed a small tear in 2013, and the set has been in climate controlled storage last few years. These were previously listed; story on why I pulled and am now relisting is below.

These speaker panels have very low hours. One panel was used for about 1.5 years, and the other has about 3 hours on it. The new panel is 1 month old. I actually had gotten another brand new warranty panel that sat in a box for a few years, pulled it out to test it for extended audition last time I had listed, and it turned out to not match the response of the 2010 build panel properly. ML just replaced that replacement panel...so this set has one panel that was just built, and one built in 2010 (and in storage last few years). I have tested the speakers, and they sound great. The 2015 panel is approximately 1db quieter (by my home measurements), but ML has told me that this is expected for a brand new panel, and it will break-in to match the other panel.

These panels incorporate much newer technology than that in the original CLS panels . These upgrades have been documented by other users on a few forums-in short, the new panels fix a lot of what folks didn’t like about the originals, without giving anything up. These new CLS panels are really incredible sounding.

I believe the price I am asking for this pair of CLS speakers is significantly less than the current cost of replacement panels from ML (I last heard they were at $2900/pr). This is a great opportunity for someone to buy a great set of speakers, or buy replacement panels and get a free speaker with them. I will include the 2010 panel that had the small membrane tear with this sale if the buyer would like to pay to ship it with the rest of the speakers.
