Magnepan Tympani IV

Bought these from a guy in Phoenix around Jan 2014 time frame. He and his wife were moving to Costa Rica. He told me he was the second owner and the original owner had them refurbished by Magnepan. They had the beige burlap looking socks on them and unfortunately they had cats so you can imagine what they looked and smelled like. I immediately removed the socks and let them stand awhile before resocking them. When I ordered socks I asked Magnepan about their history....they keep records on all their rebuilds. They had nothing current but they archive their records after a certain period. I did not ask them to research them. He had boxes but they were kept outside and were ruined with water and cat urine. The panels needed nothing. They were in very good shape. I did add some extra adhesive to the loops just to ensure they do not delam in the near future...usually the start of the problems.
That is all I know.....just sold my McIntosh mc352, so I really have nothing to drive these with....I am moving all my audio equipment as the Harley has taken over as my new hobby.
