Plinius Jarrah

This is my own personal Plinius Jarrah phono preamp for sale. It is in excellent and fully functional condition. I rate it as 8/10 for age only. It has recently been fully inspected and serviced by me (I am quite experienced in this work). The original Cosonic power supply caps had worn out and have been replaced with Nichicon PW electrolytics of identical sizing and temperature / voltage rating (soldered with Cardas Eutectic). These are considered among the best available for PS filter cap replacement. I have evaluated the other caps and components and everything is working as it should.

As you can see the Jarrah wood front is beautiful and spotless. With the new caps the Jarrah sounds better than ever. The Jarrah does not add any "character" to the sound of any of my MC carts. It lets each one's sound come through at a high level of resolution. Selling this unit because it is a second phono pre that I no longer need.

The Jarrah can handle MM or MC carts. It has two gain positions and variable resistive loading, easily switched by the standard set of micro-switches. It can handle MC carts down to a bit less than .3mV and MM up to 3mV. Carts with outputs above 3mV are not recommended with this pre.
