When it was first released the unprecedented superiority of the 2008's performance set new boundaries for vinyl playback so far ahead of its competition that Stereophile created the Class A+ category for it, where it remains until this day. This state-of-the-art solid state phono preamplifier has three inputs, with individually customizable cartridge loading. The 2008, like all reference level Boulder 2000-series components is a marvel of audio engineering, built like a tank and expected to last for a lifetime of audio pleasure. My unit has been placed exclusively in a pet and smoke free environment, with HEPA filter-fan unit in operation 24x7. I have the original boxes, packing material, umbilical cables, manual and accessories. I have not used the two sets of extra custom loading units so they are in NIB condition. The 8/10 rating is due to a small scratch (visible only on close examination) on the front plate of the power supply.
