CONDITION - Cosmetic: Very good
The front is excellent. There is a spot on the top right - that has light scratches, and a a few small knicks on the back side of the front faceplate. These are very small flaws and really not noticed unless you know where to look. If your friends notice these - find new friends! There is also a small nick on the top of the case that we painted with black, but it is noticeable if you look. Other than these two spots - the amplifier is very clean. So overall, the amplifier presents very, very nicely. There is no noticeable cosmetic flaws, unless you look really closely on the top of the front faceplate. The nick on the top cover, is located 3/4 towards the back

CONDITION - Mechanical - Excellent

Amplifier was our demonstrator. And has been in our store since new. It has performed perfectly for us over the years. There are no issues with this amplifier.

OVERVIEW
LEXICON makes a terrific amplifier - and the LX-7 amplifier is one of LEXICON's best incarnations. Exceptionally well made. Well engineered, exceptionally versatile with multiple configurations.

HISTORY
This amplifier was our demonstrator. We turned it on and ran it for interested customers. It has been 100% reliable.

IMPORTANT
We have been an authorized LEXICON dealer for over 17 years.
What we sell - we know its history.

Unlike some sellers - who are in the business to "flip" components, they don't know who owned it - where it came from and what issues it may have. You end up being the testing station and discover that the component has issues. And the repair is on you. Or the return shipping is on you. Either way - you bought an amplifier that has no track record. None.
Not with us. We know the history of all our components we sell.

We are an established brick and mortar store.
We were the PARADIGM Dealer of the Year for 2013.
We are an authorized dealer for ANTHEM, AYRE, BRYSTON, CAMBRIDGE AUDIO, DENON, LEXICON, MARANTZ, MARTIN LOGAN, PARADIGM, RUNCO, REVEL, SONY ES, and WOLF.

Yes, this is a versatile amplifier and capable of driving tough 2 ohm loudspeaker impedances / Bridgeable 400 watt channels compatible with 4 ohm loudspeaker impedances / Oversized toroidal power transformer with low DC resistance and advanced thermal protection / High power supply voltage for extra output headroom / Four custom-designed, hand-graded output transistors per channel / Selectable XLR, RCA, or 1/4-inch T/R/S inputs / Stable with mismatched, reactive, and unusual loads / JTS thermal protection / THX Ultra Certification.

This Lexicon LX-7 amplifier is genuinely an Audiophile performer at every level, and with just the right feature set to offer you exceptional flexibility as your audio system evolves over time.

Bridgeable architecture makes it possible to drive even higher-power outputs, combining up to four 200-watt channels into two imposing 400-watt channels.

Each 200-watt channel is capable of driving loudspeaker impedances of 2 ohms and above, while each 400-watt channel can drive impedances of 4 ohms and above.

Massive toroidal power transformers and several oversized capacitors allow the amplifiers to retain ample power reserves even when all channels are delivering maximum output.

From a pure audio standpoint, every amplifier manufacturer claims that their amps are neutral across the audio spectrum – but this Lexicon LX-7 amplifier truly does deliver a neutral sonic presentation. It is also incredibly stable and will easily drive low-impedance speakers. This amp also has minimal distortion – an extraordinarily clean and transparent sound! From a feature standpoint, features the option for both balanced and unbalanced inputs, remote triggering, a ground lift optio. All of these are valuable features.

Testing by Sound & Vision shows that the LX-7's left amplifier channel, with two channels driving 8-ohm loads, reaches 0.1% distortion at 293.2 watts and 1% distortion at 322.5 watts. Into 4 ohms, the amplifier reaches 0.1% distortion at 245.3 watts and 1% distortion at 286.8 watts.

REVIEWS
"I made the utmost effort to discern any new sense of coloration and again came up empty. With both pre/pros, the midrange was as flawless as the source material allowed it to be. With the LX-7/MC-12 combo and the MartinLogans, high-resolution material was flat-out magical."

"Bass performance was simply at another level. This amp doesn't lack for brute strength to complement its delicacy and dexterity. It drove the intoxicating bass line of Sonny Boy Williamson's "Bring It on Home" with an undeniable physical presence and cleanliness, as well as an impeccable sense of timing."

"There's no doubt that $5,995 is on the more-expensive side for a multichannel amplifier, but you have to pay for the best—and this is clearly one of the best seven-channel amps I've ever come across. It's got seemingly limitless power, balanced inputs, bridgeable architecture, and a sound that is tough to find fault with."
