Kenwood KM-X1 6 x 100W THX-Certified Power Amplifier

This Kenwood KM-X1 served as the main power amplifier in my home theater for some years and is still in excellent working condition. I replaced this unit with Parasound blocks when I expanded to a 7.1 home theater. The KM-X1 is a perfect solution for someone looking to get into the world of separates for the first time, and you will see that the unit has been extremely well-cared for (like all my equipment). I have been the sole owner. There are slight nicks on the top of the faceplate, but they are difficult to expose in the photographs and are not visible at a glance, hence the 8/10 condition rating. The unit was made in Japan.

Enthusiasts might be interested to note that there is no Lucasfilm THX screen print on the front of the unit, making it an entirely unique piece - I doubt there is another one like this in existence. The reason is that this was the actual test-bench unit submitted by Kenwood to Lucasfilm Ltd. for certification (and I'm happy to say it passed!). Sorry, I can't give the exact year.

Because of its 50Ib weight, I assume a buyer would prefer to do a local pick-up in Los Angeles, but I am open to all shipping options too. No original box or manual included. Basic specs: 6 x 100W continuous RMS all channels driven, and 2 x 130W RMS continuous in stereo mode.
