Acurus by Mondial 200Five 5 channel Home Theatre Amplifier

Original Owner Acurus 200w x 5 channel HT Amplifier. Purchase new in 2002 from Digital Ear for use in 2nd HT in Bedroom with Angstrom PrePro.

Supposedly same design to the current model $3000 5 channel Acurus that was reintroduced recently by former employees in Indiana.

Was retired from service in 2010 when I replaced old screen with LCD requiring HDMI capable AVR. AVR actually didn't sound as good, but needed it for ease of use by wife:)

The amp had a slight static noise on one rear channel when I tested it out last month to get ready for sale.

I just had a San Diego repair shop go thru and replace many of the caps on all five channels if they showed signs of degradation, and now the amp works perfectly.

I tested all channels on my stereo system, the static noise is gone, and the amp works perfectly.

Amp is in good shape cosmetically. There is a 3/8 inch scratch in center of faceplate that is more visible from the side than head on. I have tried to capture it in the photo. It's not visible when looking head on, especially if installed in a system.

rated 7 only due to age.

Lot's of power for medium efficiency speakers and bargain for amp of this power.
