Current version with Be tweeter! Price is firm! Speakers are two-week old and I am the original owner. Solid 10/10 condition as they have only 4 hours, not even started to break-in.
Reference 3A stands in the picture are not included but available at additional cost.
I am selling because I got a pair of much larger Reference 3A speakers, and can't keep both.
Original box and manual etc. Grill is also brand new.
Those who know Reference 3A MM De Capo knows that they are one of the most tube-friendly monitors in the world. I had the MM De Capo i before, and I drove them with Cary 300 SE mono amps with spectacular results. I upgraded to the BE version for the berrylium tweeter and the sound-absorbing material on the cabinet. With only 4 hours of evaluation I can already say the BE is much more open sounding than the old MM De Capo i.

| So i'm a bit confused by the appearance of main driver, the center is a white diaphragm of sorts ( from photos of other retail sites & the Reference 3a site ) designed to dampen standing waves. Yours are black, do you know if yours are an earlier iteration or....? Quote from one such site... The Surreal Acoustic Lens diffuses this noise, allowing clearer detail retrieval and sharper focus on images. Might you have any clarification on this? White Acoustic Lens were installed on all the 2013-2014 MM De Capos. Black Acoustic Lens are for 2015, so this is the latest and greatest!!! |
