True open sound,
With conventional speakers (except horn speakers), a listener hears more incoming sounds toward the listener from 1st reflection points of walls and ceiling. The width and height of sound stage depend on the dimension of the room. It is not a true open sound.

With Gen2s, 1st reflection points on walls and ceiling are eliminated. Gen2's sound is naturally open because bounced sounds from 1st reflection points are much reduced. And the listener hears more speakers' sounds than room sounds.
Gen2's sound is truly open in any small or large rooms.
