Kaplan Design's a Former WyWires Dealer - Full Warranty- USA Only!

Great Opportunity to own these Highly regarded Cables.

Very rarely seen on AudioGon.

How WyWires cables sound…
It’s all well and good to invent something new or to challenge conventional wisdom. Unless the sonic benefits can be correlated with the science, it’s all for naught. Here is a list of sonic attributes that have been reported consistently by the participants of our beta test program, conducted April-June 2010:

• Eerily silent background between notes.
• Spooky realism, especially vocalists.
• Greatly expanded soundstage in all dimensions including the vertical.
• Takes the edge off of sibilants (SSS's) while maintaining inner detail.
• Presents instruments in their lifelike scales (presents violin and cello as different-sized
instruments.

• The most natural rendering of tone, timbre, attack and decay.
• Excellent dynamics, both micro and macro. Great percussive slam.
• State of the art definition and resolution of complex passages.
• Excellent low frequency performance that belies the size of woofers.
• Forgiving of less than perfect recordings.

New 4 Foot pair Sells for $995 + Shipping + State Sales Tax - if they were in the same states as you.

I haven't seen another pair of Silver Series on AudioGon just mine with Updated connectors.

Older used Silver Series - Terminated with Problematic Xhadow Connectors They discolor and Connectors - don't always work..

I had an issue when this was a 7ft pair (mentioned in ad) one side didn't work! I thought it had a short, I removed it from the female RCA on one of my Mono Amps and plugged it back in and it worked.

When I contacted Alex, asked him to cut them down to TWO (1) meter pairs. That's when he told me de discontinued using Xhadow connectors and why.

Just sold 1 Pair on 2/17/15 to a customer with Modwright KWA 150.

ModWright Highly Recommends: WyWires Cables and does joint shows RMAF, Newport Audio Show and more!

Custom Length Pricing 1M (39.37") Pair $819.00
Standard Length Pricing 4FT (48") Pair $999.00

Pricing Calculation:
1M/39.37" (3 Feet 3.37") divided by 48" (4FT/1.22M) = 82.37% of 4 Foot Standard Length!

$999 x 82.37% or .8237 = $819.00 (rounded down) for 1M Cable.

Alex (President of WyWires) no longer uses Xhadow Connectors because of Oxidation and Connectivity Issues!

Analog Interconnect Cables – 4 ft standard length (1.23 meters)
Capacitance: 5.9 pF (per foot at a frequency of 10 kHz)

Our interconnects provide excellent electrical performance in all parameters.

The geometry of our interconnect cables enables an extremely low noise floor resulting in exceptional clarity, dynamic range, detail and ambient retrieval, as well as presence and soundstage that accurately captures the original venue and event. Like our other cables, the analog interconnects exhibit very high bandwidth, stable resistance and great frequency extension while at the same time preserving an organic and accurate tonal palette.

WyWires Technology
At WyWires, we believe that a one size fits all approach to cable design does not serve the music or the music lover. WyWires is one of a small handful of companies that makes its cables in-house from scratch.

Each of our products is designed for a very specific application. Our design approach has been to
question and critically evaluate the tried and true methods of cable design. The result is something
unique. Not only do WyWires exhibit excellent measured performance, but they sound great too.

How we make our cables…
The conductors that we use in our cables are made of many individually insulated strands of ultra high purity copper that are combined and braided according to a proprietary formula that considers voltage output as a primary variable. Our cables have the correct number of strands of a specific gauge for the signal and the return conductor depending on the application. The dielectric material we use is mostly air since the conductors are enveloped in organic cotton and in a larger Teflon tube. Our cables have very low characteristic impedance with very low inductance and capacitance. Minimizing inductance has been proven to be one of the keys in enabling a cable to present inner detail and superior soundstaging. We believe that capacitance is much less of a problem in cable performance than previously thought.

That being said, our cables have the lowest capacitance of any cable we have measured. Our Pre-Out cable has a capacitance of only 5.9 Pico Farads per foot, measured at 10kHz. Since we use small gauge conductors, the phenomenon known as “skin effect” is non-existent in our cables. Our cables have a minimalist look by design. We have demonstrated that adding insulation to obtain girth tends to degrade a cable’s performance. On average, each WyWires cable requires at least 4 person-hours to assemble and test.

Shielding is to be avoided…
In reality, radio frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) are rarely problems in modern music and video systems. The downside of shielding against these imaginary gremlins is that energy is released into the conductive shield and then released back at a later time, smearing the signal.

For this reason, our cables have no shield of any kind. The unique geometry of our cables virtually
eliminates any tendency for them to act as antennae or to pick up noise from other components. You will find that our cables are state of the art in their ability to present an eerily silent background between the notes on a recording.

What’s with all that weird metallurgy?
Some cable manufacturers differentiate themselves by claiming the unique sonic benefits of silver
conductors, exotic alloys as well as long crystal copper conductors and other mysterious metallurgical potions. WyWires uses none of these in its designs and here are the reasons why:

• Pure silver is an excellent conductor of electricity but only slightly better than copper. In practice,
silver should be alloyed with some other metal such as palladium, argentium, platinum or copper in order to enable silver wire to withstand physical stress. 99.999% pure silver is simply too soft and fragile for use in audio cables where the consumer expects performance to be stable for many years of handling and possibly several owners. Cables utilizing pure silver will not last long if you frequently move or upgrade your equipment. Our cables exhibit superior electrical properties to any silver cable and will last a lifetime.

• Exotic alloys and amalgams such as copper/aluminum, silver/gold, graphite and the like may be
appropriate in some applications such as microwave transmission, transformer windings and dental implants. But again, these combinations do nothing but degrade the electrical performance of a cable at audio frequencies. These exotic materials appear compelling on the surface - we believe that the use of these materials may create a false sense of product differentiation. While some audiophiles may prefer the presentation of music through these materials, we believe that the results are not consistently demonstrable over a wide range of equipment types and listening tastes.

• Long crystal copper and silver sometimes called OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) has become
ubiquitous for high-end cables. The notion that electrons are slowed down or somehow corrupted by the crystal boundaries inherent in metal wire may or may not be true in theory. This idea may have some merit for solid core conductors carrying radio frequency or higher signals for long distances.

audio frequencies, small gauge conductors and relatively short distances, OCC wire adds nothing, in our view. We have experimented with this type of wire and we have found that it adds nothing to the enjoyment of music and even diminishes certain aspects of electrical performance. What we don’t know is - what happens to the long crystals over time. Do they maintain their original structure or do they revert back to their multi-crystal state after being bent, or twisted or reheated during the cable assembly process? Dr. Atsumi Ohno of the Chiba Institute in Japan patented the method in 1986.

Since then, only a small handful of companies have licensed the technology and manufacture all the OCC wire used in the high-end audio industry worldwide. If the practical merits of OCC wire could be demonstrated scientifically, it would have made its way to other applications where the markets are much larger.

benefits are a direct result of our patent pending designs and can be proven as such. Trial and error also played an important part in our research.
Mostly made in the USA…

WyWires has been very careful to ensure that all the components we utilize are of the highest quality available. All of our wire is made in the USA. We source our connectors and other materials from well respected manufacturers in North America and the European Union.

WyWires designs are practical, innovative, and transformative products that will improve the performance of any high quality home audio system. We know you will enjoy experiencing music with WyWires.
