Zu Audio Soul Superfly MK1B - Quilted Bubinga!

You are looking at probably the only pair of Zu Soul Superfly's with Quilted Bubinga finish! They are beautiful and certainly one of a kind.

Here's the back story on these. I built a new house a couple of years ago and wanted to put a "manly" tube system in my den, which I did. I had Zu custom finish these with Quilted Bubinga at a very significant upcharge to match my den décor. Let me repeat - the quilted bubinga was an EXTREMELY expensive upgrade. I also had them anodize the hardware in a black finish which looks superb.

I loved my new digs - but unfortunately my den ended up being host to my family watching TV/movies - and the tube system just didn't function for the family needs (tube warm up time, no remote control, forgetting to turn off amp, etc.). I purchased a solid state amp and I could never warm up to Zu's without using tubes. So, they have been boxed up for the last 18 months. I've been reluctant to sell them as I knew I was going to take it in the shorts. But it's time to let them go.

They are as new - but with that being said, because of the limitations with quilted bubinga, there are a couple of imperfections in the finish that I tried to capture in the pictures. They were like this from the factory but I thought I'd mention it.

These are not large speakers by high-end standards and would look great in a den, study, or an office along with a vintage tube amp. Certainly, the finish will complement many kinds of décor.
