Sunny Cable Technology H2W10 Floorstanding full range Horns done right!!

For sale is a pair of Sunny Cable H2W10 speakers in the beautiful piano black. I will tell you at the outset that these are among the most special speakers I have ever lived with. The Sunny Cable describes it as a two-way even though it uses a 10" bass-reflex woofer, a 9.5" horn-loaded midrange cone, and a 3.5" high-frequency compression driver. Its sensitivity is a credible 91dB, with power handling up to 300W playing music. Bottom line, these are truly horns done right.

The pair for sale is in very good condition overall. The piano black lacquer is in excellent condition. There are a few signs of age, such as minor separation at joints.  On the bottom corner of the back of one speaker there is a piece of the lacquer missing, about one inch by one half inch. It’s barely noticeable, and I was unable to capture it well in the photos. (It is on the bottom right of the back of the right speaker in the pictures.) There are furniture sliders attached to the bottom sides which can be easily removed.

A local pick up would be ideal. I live on the UWS in Manhattan. I have boxes, but they are best for carrying in a car or small truck. I would be willing to drive up to 100 miles from NYC to deliver them. I would be willing to discuss shipping possibilities. You are welcome to inspect/audition the speakers.

As you will see in the photos ,I have a pair of Morrow SP4 biwire speaker cables that work particularly well with the speakers. I would consider including these in the sale.

The combination of soundstaging, realism and detail in these speakers is nothing short of jawdropping. Sunny speakers have unfortunately not received the attention they are due, most likely because family issues that affected the business model. Stereotimes has a full review. Denis Parnham calls them “a real giant killer.”

Jim Saxon wrote the following in Soundstage.com in his Jimmy Award column:

“The speakers were set up 9’ apart, about three-sevenths of the way into a very large room. I was in the sweet spot, five-sevenths of the way back. When the orchestra began to play, the outlines of actual-sized instruments "appeared" way back there. The effect was so beguiling that I giggled in glee. For me, high-end audio has much to do with suggesting life-sized instruments in real spaces, and up to this point, no loudspeaker in my experience has done a better job of meeting that criterion than the H2W10. For providing the Most Joyful Listening Experience at the CES 2009, I am sending a Jimmy Award to the owner of Sunny Cable Technology…”  I can tell you, no hyperbole here!

I cannot imagine anything on the used market giving you as much bang for the buck as these Sunny’s at this price.
