Magnificent Revel Salon speakers (the flagship of the Revel line), in beautiful condition with original cartons. These speakers have an original retail price of at least $15,500 and must be heard to be believed. The speakers come in stunning midnight blue enclosures with rosewood panels. The base reproduction of these units is flawless, I drove them with a 400W McIntosh power amp and they sang beautifully (though they can easily handle more power).
I have owned and cared for these units since 2002, they are in fantastic shape. I recently replaced one of the tweeters with a factory matching part from Revel and now they are back to achieving sonic perfection. Cosmetically the units are great, there is one small imperfection in the front lining covers for the woofers (shown in photo), it is very small (as you can see in the photograph).
Here is your chance to own an audiophile legend for a fraction of retail price (the new Revel Salons sell for $19000 a pair). You will not be disappointed.
Don’t just take my word on how good these speakers are, check out these references:

“At levels I've never been able to get from any other loudspeaker, the sound of the Salons in my room was tremendous—clean, fast, loud, dynamic.”
“…the Revel Salon's fit'n'finish must be seen, and its timbral accuracy heard, to fully appreciate its unique use of good engineering principles and superb industrial design.”

Review: Revel Ultima Salon Speaker
What a relief, someone else hears what I hear. The Salons are indeed a superb speaker and with the right combo of electronics, (you should hear them biamped) (see my system under Sgr)they are probably still one of the best in the world. In fact Revel has the confidence not to bring out a new model every 6 months or year that is the new ultimate in speakers. How refreshing!
Oh buy the way, a great review!

Review: Revel Ultima Salon Speaker
I had also listened to Revel Ultima Salon connected to Krell 750 monoblock. They are the best speakers that I have listened to, very relaxed and musical.

Specifications:
Weight 240 lb each. Total weight with cartons for the pair ~ 500 lb.
Rated response: 25 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 1 dB. Low-frequency extension is measured down to 17 Hz at (–10 dB), 20 Hz at (-6 dB).
The Revel Salon is a four-way system with seven drive-units: two tweeters (1.1" on the front and 0.75" on the back), one 4" midrange, one 6.5" midbass, and three 8" woofers. These are set into a two-part cabinet more than a foot wide, more than two feet deep, and over four feet tall. The bottom section houses the midbass unit and the three woofers with their mica- and carbon-filled copolymer domes, all hidden behind the flying front grille. The woofers are reflex-aligned with a port tunnel 16" long and 4" wide, which flares to a 6"-diameter opening on the Salon's rear panel, just below the rear tweeter. Kevin Voecks, the Salon's designer, claims this multiple driver system better handles large dynamic bass peaks, dissipating heat buildup before it can cause compression. The large, flaring port was designed to not make "chuffing" sounds when the Salon is driven at high levels.
Besides the reflex port and second tweeter, the rear panel features four gold-plated speaker terminals for biwiring, a low-frequency compensation control that gives ±2dB adjustment at 43.9Hz, and separate level controls for the front and rear tweeters.
I do not have the top grills. I do have the factory gold jumpers (set of 4).
