These are the sda 2a (third generation) which was a huge improvement from second gen. Polk's SDA line is arguably their best and they are still sought after even after all these years...just like Infinity's Kappa & JBL's L series.

Full range sound with incredibly warm, powerful bass, exceptionally clean mids & crisp highs. If you enjoy a speaker that can produce those qualities in your music, then you will love these.

The cabinets are a beautiful rosewood veneer and are in excellent shape overall with minor nicks and few scratches. The drivers are also in great shape except for one of the tweeters. As you can see in the pictures, one has some damage to it which also affected the grill cover. The tweeter is still functional and still produces sound but doesn't quite 'sing' as good as the other one. I would say the tweeter output is about 75% so you can still hear it but can notice if you compare it to the other. If you aren't too picky about your gear being perfect, you can adjust/balance your receiver to give off more treble to it. Otherwise, there are replacements selling on ebay between $25-$40. (Peerless Silver Coil SL-2000). The mid-bass drivers are near mint and the subwoofers are good with minor wrinkling on surface which is purely cosmetic. (1"Dome Tweeter, Dual 6.5" mid bass woofers, 12" subwoofer. (Passive Radiator)

Although its not necessary, Polk recommends the speakers to be interconnected using their pin/blade cable. However a simple and cheap alternative is to just use 18 gauge speaker wire. Connecting this wire will give you the "SDA" effect they are famous for.
