Mine is a standard Xd system, i.e. 1 XdA, 1 XdW, and 2 XdS speakers. Here is a PDF of them I found on NHT's website...slightly different setup but the info is great. http://www.nhthifi.com/site/pdf/HomeTheaterXd11-05.pdf
Hello - I bought this system direct from NHT when they ceased producing the Xd line. I thought they'd be very good, but the reviews were dead on - easily the best complete system I've ever heard at anywhere approaching this price. Punchy, warm, yet detailed without being bright or strident...extremely easy to set up due to the XdA's different modes and the non-picky nature of the XdS satellites. I had my XdW in a corner and the XdS's angling out into the room on the sidewalls - this was optimal, due to the odd layout of my living room, but I never thought any speakers would sound good positioned like this. Wrong. Simply amazing sound, I wish I could use them in my new house.
Selling for one and only one reason: I got married. Our house has the oh-so-popular-but-neckbreaking setup of the TV above the mantle, and there is literally nowhere for me to put my system. I tried about three times to fit them into my mini-mancave in the spare bedroom, but I can't get the sub where I want it and everything else looks like a hoarder's paradise. Using a soundbar right now and it is a cruel joke compared to what I had. I am getting enough grief from them being in the keeping room so please take these off my hands. On the positive side, she's an avid road biker and an excellent cook. As far as selling history, I don't have much selling (or buying) on Audiogon, but I have a long term eBay account with 800+ feedback and have traditionally sold my equipment there just to make sure it was gone. I would be nauseous if I gave away this set, which can always happen there and you never know who is bidding. (take it from me - be careful selling computer RAM) My eBay account is the same name as my Audiogon account if you want to go look. Have no worries about me running off with your spendola...she is the runner anyway, I just bike past 'em.
I have all the original boxes and will ship in them. I think I have the manuals somewhere - a lot of my stuff is in storage, but they are in my bookshelf somewhere I believe. If not, they are on the internet as most things are these days. I also have my own FedEx account so you will get charged actual shipping, not whatever the retail stores charge. It will be two stand boxes, an XdW box, two XdS boxes, and an XdA box. Let's say $100 for shipping? If it's less, I'll refund what is extra. I have no clue how to estimate shipping to zones for 6 boxes and it is quite late tonight. One other thing - I am not sure which power cable is the right one for the XdA and XdW, but I will include two that I think are them. Contact me with any questions - thanks! h3
