MERLIN MUSIC SYSTEM VSM-MXe SPEAKERS - USED $3,250

Terrific sounding used pair of Ruby Heart Red Merlin VSM-MXE speakers (with all accessories: Super BAM, Merlin Bi-wire jumpers, Merlin Z-feet, Merlin RC networks [set of 4], manual, alignment tool) for sale! These speakers retailed for $11,550 new, this used pair is yours for $3,250! They are in fair condition (they actually look quite good from several feet away, but each speaker has assortment of small digs and light scratches. NOTE: Please message me with your e-mail if you wish to see detailed close up pictures of all the cosmetic issues. Audiogon scales down and lowers the res of the pics I upload. These speakers are like a nice car that looks good from several feet away, but once you get close up all the door dings and light scratches in the clearcoat become apparent). One tweeter dome has two small dings - (only one of which is big enough to show up in the pictures) most likely remnants from the dome being touched, brushed or pushed in a bit and then popped back out - the tweeter does work perfectly fine (I personally listed to these speakers with a wide range of material over two weeks plus did some sweep tests and did not note any anomaly in sound/response). Again, I can e-mail a whole bunch of close-up pics of all the gory details, but if you are a nut about perfect cosmetics - this pair of speaker will NOT be for you. However, if you want something that looks quite nice and sounds great - worth looking into! They are about 8 years old, and work/sound great (The Super BAM could use a new set of batteries [$100] or just be used as is on AC power).

I do not have the original box for these, but have a set of VSM box/packaging from another VSM pair (my own personal pair) that has seen several shipments, but is in very good shape and will allow these to be freighted anywhere in the USA or around the world. If you are within about 300 miles of Syracuse NY where we are located, we can arrange for delivery in person by us for a reasonable price (less the freight shipping and without the handling of freight shipment). If you want to save freight/delivery costs and pick them up here after purchase, we can handle that too!
