KEF 104/2 KEF 104/2 SPEAKERS WITH ‘KUBE’ & OWNER’S MANUALS

For local, Atlanta, pickup only, I am the second owner of these outstanding audiophile loudspeakers. If you are not familiar with KEF 104/2 speakers a web search will reveal plenty of discussion forums, youtube videos, and webpages. KEF ran these speakers from 1984-1996. The matched pair for sale here are #’s 015015A and 015015B are the non-bi-wire version. User manual for the speakers and KUBE included.

Condition:

The drivers are in perfect condition (see pics) and the speakers sound great as is. The veneer on each cabinet contains visible scratches and dings, therefore, I listed the speakers as 5/10. I can send more detailed pictures if needed.  The doughnut dust caps for the woofers are rotted (see pics). The deterioration of these caps does not affect the sound of the woofers and they are easily replaceable with kits available on Amazon or Ebay. Aside from that, one of the grills has two broken pegs (these are replaceable too. I used velcro in their place). As for sound, this speaker’s continued popularity long after its production speaks for itself. These speakers are extremely clear and posses incredible imaging.

The optional KEF KUBE equalizer was available to extend the low frequency response down to 20Hz (-6dB, Q=0.5).
