These loudspeakers are in excellent condition. They have had light use and have only been used for a small number of demonstrations and at the Newport Beach show.

They are finished in high polish carbon fiber and are fitted with the higher performance carbon fiber cone version of the DDD driver.  They are packed in the original shipping cartons and to protect them during shipping, they will be shipped strapped to a pallet.

Because of the very low price, the buyer is responsible for all the shipping costs and Paypal costs.

A real taste of high-end audio nirvana
The Carbon MK IV uses the same German Physiks DDD driver as their flagship $275,000 Gaudi model and so provides a real taste of high-end audio nirvana.  In the Carbon MK IV this is coupled with a downward firing 12-inch woofer that provides fast, well-extended and powerful bass from a comparatively compact cabinet.

Closer to the live performance
The DDD driver is a wide-bandwidth, omnidirectional driver which enables the Carbon MK IV to produce a detailed, three-dimensional sound stage you can enjoy from a wide range of positions in your room, not only from a small “sweet-spot”.  This allows a more relaxed listening experience, just like in a live music venue and is perfect for sharing your music with friends. 

No sound damaging mid-range crossover point
The Carbon MK IV ‘s carbon fibre DDD driver covers the frequency range from 24,000Hz down to 190Hz, eliminating the mid-band crossover point found in nearly all conventional loudspeaker designs and so avoids the level and phase errors that these may cause from the region where our hearing is most sensitive.

The fact that the bulk of what you hear is coming from one relatively compact driver means that time alignment problems are to all intents and purposes eliminated.

Very even tonal balance throughout the room
The pistonic drivers in a conventional loudspeaker increasingly beam the sound as the frequency rises. This is due to the physics of this type of driver.  Consequently, you generally only obtain the correct tonal balance when seated in a narrow range of positions in the room - the "sweet-spot".  The DDD driver’s omnidirectional radiation pattern enables it to radiate the sound evenly around the loudspeaker and ensures that the tonal balance of the music is very even throughout the room.   This provides a more natural reverberant acoustic and also assists in giving more flexibility where you sit.

Emotionally satisfying performance
The Carbon Mk IV’s DDD driver has a very low moving mass – less than 3 grams – and this allows lightning fast transients.  This together with the DDD driver’s exceptional coherence and its superb transparency enables the Carbon MK IV to provide the listener with a performance that is both emotionally involving and musically satisfying.

Tonal characteristics of musical instruments are very accurately portrayed 
The DDD driver is phase linear across its operating range, ensuring that the tonal character of each musical instrument is reproduced with great accuracy. With the Carbon MK IV you get a greater sense of hearing a live musician rather than a recorded one.

Quick and easy set-up
Because of the DDD driver's omnidirectional radiation pattern and wide operating range, the Carbon MK IV’s are less critical of their position in the room than most conventional loudspeakers and this makes them very quick and easy to set up. 

Powerful bass
The Carbon MK IV's 12 inch woofer produces bass that is deep with real weight, but it is also clear, articulate and in time with the rest of the audio range.  It is easy to follow the bass lines and drums have an authentic impact to their transients.  The correct bass balance is maintained even when listening at low levels, so you can continue to enjoy your Carbon MK IVs when you would otherwise have to use to headphones.

Compact cabinet with attractive finish
The cabinet has a footprint of only 15.9” x 15.9”, so it takes a comparatively small space on the listening room floor.   This set is in an attractive black high polish carbon fibre finish. The carbon fiber finish provides additional rigidity compared to the standard veneer finish cabinet.

Compatible with a wide range of amplification
The Carbon MK IV will provide excellent results with quite modest amplification, so you do not need to invest a lot of money in electronics.  However, its DDD driver is very revealing, allowing the Carbon MK IV to deliver excellent results when partnered with high performance systems.  Amplifiers capable of delivering more than 160W into 4 ohms are recommended.

20 year design life
Even though the Carbon MK IV is their entry-level model, German Physiks has applied the same meticulous care and attention to its design, manufacture and testing as they have with all of their other products.  German Physiks loudspeakers are designed for a 20-year life.   All design and manufacture in Germany, which is your guarantee of quality.
