Offering for sale my Genesis 5.3 speakers – a current model less than 10 months old that marks the entry point into the largest Genesis Advanced Technologies loudspeakers in a real-world, WATT/Puppy form factor.

Each 4-way full-range speaker consist of 8 drivers, including two circular ribbon tweeters, one titanium mid-range, two aluminum mid-bass cones, and three aluminum, long-throw servo-controlled subwoofers.  The system is designed in a dipole configuration with front and back tweeters, a front-facing mid-range that open-ports to the rear, as well as front and rear-facing mid-bass cones. Front and rear firing subs are controlled by an internal 500 watt Class D amp in each unit.  The sub amp has both single-ended and balanced inputs, and the low frequency system can be “daisy-chained” for home theater setups if additional subwoofers were desired.  Along with controls for low-end crossover frequency and bass output, the rear panel also includes extensive controls for the mid-range and tweeter.  The new suspension is on thick acrylic plates with leveling spikes from the floor into a decoupled shock absorption system.

Genesis provides considerable advice on setup and positioning for proper room response and sound-staging.  They have possibly the cleanest and best articulated bass response I’ve ever heard.  These units are visually stunning – sleek and deep –in titanium gloss that complements any décor.   Dimension are 45” x 20” x 11”, and they each weigh 140 lbs.  One speaker (see photo) has a ~2 mm nick on the side and a 0.5 inch scuff on the bottom, which could easily be touched up.  The other is unblemished.  Both come with removable front and rear grill covers.

Full details, specs, and manuals are available at the Genesis website (genesisloudspeakers.com).  These speakers have been widely and recently praised by multiple reviewers, including Stereophile, Inner Magazine (inner-magazine.com, April 2014) and Inner Ear (innerearmag.com).  This Summer's review at Part-Time Audiophile (July 20, 2014) is especially illuminating: “These 5.3 floor standing loudspeakers from Genesis are bloody fantastic. I love them… The Genesis 5.3 is about as neutral, transparent, and linear as I’ve ever heard a pair of loudspeakers sound… Audiophiles wax poetic about neutrality, about transparency, about tactility.  But this is the closest I’ve gotten.  An incredible achievement. I only wish it was less expensive...”  (parttimeadiophile.com).

The speakers will be carefully packed and shipped in original cartons and are available for local pickup.  Shipment (freight or other) must be arranged by buyer and is at buyer’s sole expense.  Personal check is o.k. after clearing; PayPal adds 3%.
