B&W Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus 802 N802 Black Ash - some cosmetics

I am selling a pair of B&W N 802 floor-standing speakers. Sequential serial numbers - matched pair.

Black Ash - Sound fantastic, great dynamics and impact for music or home theater.

Cosmetics are short of the fantastic sound. 1 slightly dimpled tweeter. 2 missing grills from the Kevlar midranges (I always liked using them without anyway, so I didn't mind...). Multiple marks on each cabinet. Speakers still look good, but upon close inspection, these issues are noticeable.

If you always wanted a set of 802's and can live with some cosmetics, these maybe ideal for you. The going rate on ebay is about $ 1,000 or more above where these are priced at. I tried to price them closer to the 804's and 803's. I had a pair of the 804's and these are in another league. I have listened to the 803's but I suspect the 802's with larger woofers, provide much more impact and dynamics to full range music.

I haven't listened to these in a # of weeks and I just finished a session listening to Dave Brubeck, Tom Waits and Talking Heads. I did so with a 60 watt-rms tube amp and results were fantastic. Thus, you don't necessarily need 200 - 300 watts for these (though I would like to hear what they sound like with that much power !).

Includes woofer grills, tweeter grills, bi-wire jumpers for rear connections.

Local pickup in the Baltimore area only. (I do NOT have boxes for them). If someone does have boxes for them and ships them to me, I will consider shipping these. Otherwise, local pickup only. Very heavy.

I have them listed as 6/10 due to issues noted, but overall, they are still presentable and I think they look more like a 7/10.
