Every part of your stereo is important. We all know that somewhere in the back of our head.   Cables make a difference, amplifiers make a difference, Dacs make a difference, preamps make a difference. The rack your stereo is in matters too.  The biggest difference in how your stereo sounds is your listening room.
Think about this if you go to a trade show like Rocky Mountain Audio Fest it consists of two different towers and 2 different room sizes.  If you go from room to room those rooms that don’t have any room treatment have the same kind of bass sound.  It is easy to tell too because most of us play the same music that you want us to play so when Everyone plays Shelby Lynne singing Just a little Lovin the bass sounds the same in nearly every room regardless of speaker type or price range because the room determines how the bass sounds. Certainly if you move your speakers around in the room you change what frequencies are right and which ones are wrong but in the end the bass from room to room will sound very much the same.
Now if a vendor is using room correction (good room correction)  the bass will sound different or if they have the magic number of bass traps etc.
I bet you have noticed this yourself when you have auditioned new speakers in your home. The bass from the new speakers is still pretty much the same even though the mids and highs will change but not your bass and that is because the room determines your bass frequency response even more than your speakers do.

The New Lyngdorf 2170 is an Integrated Amplifier, DAC and Room Perfect all in one package. It comes with various options For example you can get it as a basic version that has single ended analog inputs, coax and optical inputs and all the models come with room perfect room correction as well as a calibrated measurement microphone, cable and microphone stand. Plus it has a built in programmable Electronic Crossover network to let you perfectly integrate your subs or woofers with the main system.
You can upgrade it with HDMI inputs, USB input and a optional high-end ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) supplementing the standard analog inputs.

If you have sub woofers the 2170 will perfectly integrate  them with your main speakers.
Regardless if you have $200,000 speakers or $2000 a pair speakers the RP-1 will flesh out the best sonic performance from your existing system.  It will also allow you to regain that space your speakers take up at the first third of your listening room so you can if you want to, put your speakers against the wall and get ideal response from them including a 3 d sound stage if it is on the recording.
I have a Demo RP1 you can audition by purchasing it and if you can really stand to send it back to me in the same condition you got it in I’ll return your payment  when I get it back or have a brand new unit shipped out to you.
This is what Lyngdorf has to say about the RP-1
The RP-1 is a standalone room correction processor that can be inserted in any conventional pre-/power amplifier set up. This is the simplest way of removing room-generated anomalies and the fastest way to improve the sonic performance of analogue audio system.

The effect of the RP-1 "Black Box" is magical - however, there is nothing mysterious about why it is so efficient. The "Black Box" simply introduces the world patented RoomPerfect room correction technology to improve the sound in analogue audio systems. In essence, the "Black Box" will improve sound reproduction in any audio system, from basic to very high-end set-ups.

To ensure maximum compatibility and easy connection the RP-1 offers both single ended and balanced inputs/outputs. So, select single ended or balanced in the RP-1 menu and connect it between your pre- and power amplifier - or via a tape loop on your integrated amplifier and you are done!

Even though RoomPerfect is the most sophisticated room correction system on the market it is very simple to use. You don´t need to know anything about acoustics or computers to get the full benefit of RoomPerfect. The menu will guide you through the calibration and everything needed; microphone, stand and cable come included with the RP-1. So, you will be easily up and running in less than - hour!
And bear in mind that we are not just talking "tweaking" here. This device removes the single, most influential obstacle in the quest to achieve the best possible music re-play the room itself.

Questions for the seller
Hello. I am a believer in this type of device but here's my situation. My stereo listening room is only 13' by 17' with 7' ceilings. Can I expect any good results with such a small room and those drastically low ceilings???? I love my stereo its a Pass Labs XP30/xp25 XA200.5 monos with great turntables and etc but can this item do anything for me that would in anyway justify its price? It is the price of a very nice VPI turntable! I do like your offer to take it back with refund but please honestly tell me if there is any hope in this small room? Thanks. Rob in Kansas City Missouri
Hi Rob, The RP-1 will be a wonderful improvement to the sound in your listening room The 7'foot ceilings will be tamed by the RP-1 along with the rather narrow room. You can put your JBls in the corners or against the wall as far apart as possible. This with the RP1 will give you perfect impulse response from the JBLs. IF you want to listen to both pair at the same time you will need two of the RP-1s one for the front and one for the back with it's own stereo amplifier. Call me with additional questions. Neal 720 308 40000
can I expect any real results with big 18" woofers in my JBL 4345s and four 15" woofers in a pair of JBL 4435s? I was going for loads of speaker in small room with loads of class a power! Will this device really help in any way? I feel like I have huge JBL earphones I'm so close to my speakers now. Thanks/really/thanks.
High Rob, Certainly you would get spectacular results. The bass would become perfect in your room with either pair. You can't have both pair running off one RP1, So if you want it right you would need 2 RP1s if you are running one pair in front and one pair in back. I have a pair of 4343s here in my room. I sent my RP1 off to a customer for a demo and I had to switch back to my Harbeths because the 4343 went from amazing with the RP1 to I can't listen to these now. Feel free to give me a call at 720 308 4000 Neal
