I'm using one of these on my Squeezebox Touch and PS Audio NWD.
BEST $399 I've ever spent - the improvement in SQ is amazing. Highly recommended. Thanks Mike! It is a pretty amazing little device indeed. Appreciate your feedback. |
As a previous owner of several W4S equipment, I have been very impressed with your products.
I now have a NAD Master Series M51 DAC with a DUNE BASE 3D Music Server. The DUNE BASE 3D is probably as good as the Squeezebox, and other music servers in jitter which is not great.
I noticed in the review of the Remedy Reclocker that DACs such as the "PS Audio DirectStream it’s [the Remedy Reclocker is] barely distinguishable" yet on other dacs it makes a great difference.
The NAD M51 converts PCM into PWM (somewhat similar to the PS Audio DirectStream but not exactly the same) and does a good job of rejecting jitter. Do you have any customers using the Reclocker with the NAD M51? Hello,
Thanks for your question. As the review implies, the Remedy is not much different than many high-grade audio components in that the "YMMV" rule applies. It was made specifically (and tends to have the most sonic impact) on digital sources notorious for high amounts of jitter. However, many customers who have inserted the Remedy into much higher-dollar systems have also reported very positive results. The thing to also keep in mind about the Remedy is that it is placed in the chain prior to your DAC, so it reduces the jitter before it even gets there. To answer your question regarding customers using your particular DAC, we have not had any inquiries about that. |
