This is a 110v/220 switchable DAC, absolutely unique in its modifications. This has custom Bubinga panels, giving it a gorgeous look. This unit was heavily upgraded by Steve Sank of Talking Dog Transducer Co. Included in the modifications are the replacement of all RCA jacks with WBT 110Ag Rca plugs. Steve has also made the following modifications:

Power supply-

Installed IXYS soft-recovery, high speed rectifier diodes on all three supplies.

Replaced pre- and post-regulator electrolytic filter capacitors with much larger value, high grade Nichicons.

Added metallised & film/foil polypropylene bypass caps to all supply electrolytic caps.

Installed 120VAC/240VAC mains power selection switching.

Active signal stages:

Replaced ALL opamp chips with Burr-Brown 134-series, OPA134PA & OPA2134PA.

Replaced all electrolytic supply/peripheral caps at each & every digital, dac & analog chip w/Nichicon.

ADDED 4400uf Nichicon supply filter/energy-storage caps, each with polypropylene AND polystyrene film bypass caps, immediately attached to each opamp chip's supply pins, and 470-1000uf + mpp & styrene caps to the several supply line pins of dac chip.

Installed pure silver WBT rca jacks for main input & outputs, the digital input wire to board w/pure silver and the analog outputs wired with combo of Nordost & silver wires.

Added secondary rca coax input in parallel with AES/EBU xlr input.

I have given it a grade of 7/10 due to age and a small nick to the wooden side panels. There is also a tiny cut/scratch on the front plastic face plate. This is a phenomenal DAC, the only reason that I am selling it is because Steve built me a Custom Pre-Amp/DAC/EQ that is even nicer than the Bidat. Any questions, please email me
