Lampizator Level 4/Generation 3 DAC w/Balanced Outputs

Lampizator Level 4/Generation 3 DAC (list $4,000) with optional balanced outputs ($500).  Very good condition with no scratches.  Selling for a friend who has been the sole owner since buying it new in June, 2011.   
This is the most popular Lampizator model, with over 500 units sold.  It includes a tube power supply, tube analog stage, premium capacitors (Jupiter Copper), 24 bit/192 kHz PCM convertor and two coaxial S/PDIF digital inputs.  It does not have a USB input or built-in volume control.  Also does not ship from Lampizator with a power cord.   
Construction is top-tier:

• There are no transformers and only one capacitor in the digital and analog circuitry;


• There is only one gain stage;


• The signal tubes are used at 25% of their nominal power, leading to life expectancy of 20 years or more;


• All internal wire is silver in teflon and wire lengths are as short as possible;


• The power supply is flat and noiseless - no need for batteries; and


• Non-oversampling design, with the original bit rate passed along without digital manipulation.

The Lampizator Level 4 produces a natural, liquid and transparent sound without digital harshness or haze.

“Obviously I don’t know many high-end DACs so I simply cannot claim that the Lampizator DAC is the best among them.  But I don’t hesitate to call it a high-end device.  Given the choice between (pretty good) dCS Debussy and the Lampizator DAC I would have taken the latter.  Debussy offers a more precise, more detailed, more analytical sounding DAC which might suit many audiophiles needs, but I’d give it all up for this amazing musicality of the Lampizator DAC."
