Downgrading my stereo since I moved from a house to an apartment and listen mainly to headphones. I have a preamp, amp and now my Lampizator, all up for sale. Reviews are numerous. It is the best DAC that I have heard period. This unit has a manufacture date of 02/12. This is a 4+ meaning it was handmade by Lucasz with upgraded Level 5 parts and is not a Level 4 which currently sells for 6,000.00 new without any options. . Includes an Apple remote control. This is a 24/192 unit.
This unit has one balanced (for sound cards), one RCA/spdif and Tos-link digital inputs. It also has one set of analog inputs. It has one pair of single ended RCA outputs. It uses 2 Valvo Holland E182CC / 7119 matched tubes made in the 50's and an RCA 5Y3 rectifier (grey glass). Have duplicates of all 3 tubes but they shouldn't be needed because the Lamp only runs them at 20% of power and they should last many years. I have priced it to sell quickly but will accept reasonable offers. Send a private msg if interested.
Unit is in 8/10 condition (light 1" scratch on back of the top plate) with original triple boxed shipping carton. Please include 3% Paypal and shipping. Note to outside US buyers, shipping will be thru the USPS and it can only go by Express International mail because of box dimensions.
Questions for the seller
Q: Why are you selling the DAC so soon? You just bought it a couple of weeks ago???????
A: Hi Guy Well, I never should have bought it to begin with. I want to use my computer with it but my USB to SPDIF interface has BNC out which won't work with the COAX input on the Lamp. Secondly I want to run a second output to a headphone amp and I can't do that either. You could say I got a little ahead of myself. Will
Q: Original owner?
A: No I'm not the original owner. Truthfully I just bought it from another Audiogon member who is the original owner. The only reason I'm selling it is because I want to buy a high end headphone amp/dac. I have dropped the price to 300.00 less than I paid for the Lamp. It really is one of the better ones out there. Thanks will
