This is our new Eastern Electric DSD Supreme DAC ESS9018 DAC chip Digital front faceplate readout USB/ DSD capable 4 other digital inputs. Tube or Solid state. Socket-able op-amps in case you want to roll . Dexa's or Sparko Labs highly recommended.
Been running the HQPlayer software with optimizer with Windows 2012 using the DSD option and the DAC sounds amazing. even Double DSD.Audirvana Plus is also recommended for software to use.

Compared this with my DAC PLUS with Vcaps and Dexa discrete op-amps and this Supreme DAC has more body
with deeper taut bass while the mids are to die for and the cymbals just sound excellent.
Trust me on this one guys, it is a very special DAC and Alex Yeung worked on this for almost a year getting it to sound its best. He succeeded.
Does not need a driver for the Mavericks OSX if using a MAC.
Thank you for considering,
Bill O'Connell
Questions for the seller |
---|
question from a novice, can you change the tube out pretty easy? to tube roll?
thanks
Matt Friel Hi Matt,
Very simple and a lot easier access than our previous DAC PLUS. Just pull the tube straight out and reinsert another 12AU7 of your choice. All you have to do as the 12au7 is a 9pin tube. When you look at it you will notice a gap between pins where if it was a 10 pin tube the pin would be there. So there is a gap, make sure to line up that gap with the gap in the tube socket and push the tube in straight. Very simple. Once you see the tube you will understand, I only say this because you say your a novice so I thought this explanation would help |
