This is a Benchmark DAC-1 with the best modifications to make it one of the best DACs in the world! I have lived with this DAC for a decade so I know exactly how to modify it for the best sound. These modifications have taken a whole year to build! Everything is fully functional, but the XLR output pins have solder on them because I got better sound when hardwiring my interconnects to the pins. The RCA outputs are in perfect condition. If you want to see a video, search youtube for "Jungle DAC" and you will see it plugged in.

The sound is the best I have ever heard out of any DAC, and I have owned expensive gear like dCS Elgar Plus DAC and dCS Verdi Encore SACD transport for $31,000. This Jungle DAC is much better! The retail price of Jungle DAC was $100,000, but because it's too difficult to build, more will not be built, this is the only unit that exists in the whole world! It's massive and weighs 7.3 kg for extreme vibration damping and cleaning power!

Jungle DAC has another world of clarity and microdetail, while sounding smooth and natural like the jungle. The musicality and synergy is amazing, you just want to listen longer and longer.

Modifications

1) The toroidal transformer is placed outside of the chassis, this increases microdetail with a calmer and smoother sound with higher resolution. This toroid resides right below the IEC input. All fuses and plugs are bypassed for a more direct connection to the Toroid. This unit is 230 volts only.

2) The top cover is removed, this results in higher resolution and a more open sound. With the top cover on the RFI reflected up and down inside the chassis which resulted in noisier sound.

3) Multiple chambers are built inside the unit using natural whitewood tree fiber for the most neutral sound.

4) The popular Alien Crystal Formula covers the entire circuit board which cleans the sound right from the source! This gives the biggest improvement out of any modification.

5) The same crystal formula is used around the DC wiring from the circuit board to the IEC input.

6) Two chambers are built around the Toroidal transformer with Alien Crystal Formula below and above it. This cleans vibrations from it.

7) A large chamber is built on the bottom of the unit. The entire DAC is resting on Alien Crystals for the best vibration damping possible.

8) Multiple layers of Whitewood tree fibers have been placed around everything, with a silver powder shield in between the tree fibers.

9) On the surface lies the Jungle tree fiber formula using 3 different tree fiber colors, this results in the most neutral sound while adding some warmth.

10) Rainman Silver Purification is used to finish off everything, and give it a wet and glossy look. It looks natural like something from the jungle, and sounds like it too!

Questions for the seller
This is the most insane thing I've ever seen! You're hardcore!
Thanks!
Is this for real?
Yes. I never joke about audio, I take it very seriously.
So... is this a standard "Benchmark" DAC jammed inside a type of "goo" cluster? What exact DAC model? Why are the solder sprinklings required on the XLR outputs? You suggest it makes better contact???
In the 4th sentence I say why there is solder on the XLR outputs, because I hardwired cables to them for better sound. In the 2nd sentence I say this model is a decade old, it's not the newer USB versions which were released later than that. As for the "goo", it's written later in the [filtered] that it's tree fiber of different types. There is no soft "goo" anywhere, everything is hard as a rock.
I have commissioned to have all of my audio gear ensconced in 24k gold leaf. Would the finish of the Jungle tree fiber formula lend itself to the gilding process?
Silver leaf gives synergy with the Jungle tree fiber formula, not gold. If you are going to ensconse in gold leaf, you need my Egypt or Cleopatra tree fiber formula, that would be a perfect match. But this will cost $100,000 to build another DAC for you.
After viewing your Jungle DAC on YouTube I'm actually quite fascinated. Have you tried this synergistic approach with other critical components such as amps and preamps? If so, are any for sale or would you apply this unique technology on a commission basis to a pair of mono blocks or would heat generation be a problem?
ICE Power mono block amplifiers are cool so the heat generation wouldn't be a problem for them, these are cooler than DACs and CD players. A year ago I started building one monoblock with Unreal technology, but I never finished it because I don't need it for my system, I use studio monitors with the amplifiers integrated. I can build amplifiers but it will be expensive. A much cheaper alternative is to place Unreal VibraDomes inside the chassis of the amplifier, this will give similar results.
my guess is those aren't solder sprinkles/jimmies looks like his intention was to only expose the plugs he needed but at some point changed his mind and tried rescuing the XLR and AES. The AES is clearly blocked and I doubt the XLRs have ever been used. But anyone buying this would not be plugging it in anyway -- you'd be coco-nuts if you did! Perhaps it will be an audio rock placed on someones reference DAC. It is after all a Coconut original and Patrick Knemeyer is the Andy Warhol of audio. This should be displayed as a piece of art making light humor of the extreme audiophile in his pursuit of "infinite perfection". Will surely spark more conversations than a pixie clock and could possibly appreciate with time.
AES is not blocked, a cable plugs in just fine. I have used the XLR outputs for many years together with Digital AES/EBU 192 kHz which was a perfect match. Jungle DAC was not designed to be used as an "audio rock", see my other products like VibraDome which were designed for that purpose.
