WAGNER: DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN - -ORIGINAL DECCA DELUXE 22-LP SET -SOLTI/VPO

I am offering for sale the rare and legendary, original 22-LP deluxe presentation set of Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen by Sir Georg Solti and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. This set was released in 1970 on the DECCA record label and consists of DAS RHEINGOLD, DIE WALKURE, SIEGFRIED, AND GOTTERDAMMERUNG. There is also a 3-lp introduction to the operas called "Der Ring Des Nibelungen" narrated by Deryck Cooke and featuring excerpts from each of the operas.
Each opera comes in its own wooden-ended case with a full-sized libretto booklet containing a synopsis of the opera and a full transcription and the lot is housed in a heavy carved wooden box with a gilded front panel, as you see in the pictures.
The cases are in excellent to near mint condition, as is the wooden box. I listed the set in " 9 out of 10" condition because almost all of the LP's seem completely unplayed with pristine labels and surfaces.
Many people, including most classical music critics, consider this to be the greatest recorded rendition of "The Ring". I agree. You won't find a better example of this rare set than the one I'm offering here.
