"Tchaikovsky composed this work in 1878. At Clarens, near Geneva, following both his mistake of a marriage and his suicide attempt, Tchaikovsky completed both Onegin and the Fourth Symphony early in 1878. After a round trip to Moscow in February for the symphony's premiere, he was visited at Clarens by the violinist Yosif Kotek. Tchaikovsky, in fondness for Kotek, sketched out a violin concerto in just 11 days and had finished scoring it two weeks later, including a new slow movement in place of one that both Kotek and Tchaikovsky's younger brother, Modest, considered to be weak" - AMG.

This outstanding 'White Dog' sounds more like a cross between the 'Shaded Dog' and '.5 Audiophile Series' from RCA. It has all the warmth and tube-like 'glow' of the 'Shaded Dog' but with the detail, dynamics and dimensionality of the '.5 Audiophile Series'. Simply stunning sound.
What little surface noise exists is almost inaudible and un-noticeable.
Each record is washed on a VPI cleaning machine using a proprietary 3-5 agent process which is determined by the needs of the individual record. Each record is then listened to 100% to insure that the posted description is exactly what you can expect to get.
