For sale here is a SUPERB SOUNDING and very rare Panasonic DVD-H1000 dvd/cd player(no other formats), in PERFECT working condition, and with upgraded analog stage opamps.
The unit uses the fabulous Burr-Brown PCM1704 K-grade, 24bit R2R ladder dac chips & DF1704 digital filter. The three analog stages have been upgraded to Analog Devices AD826 for i/v converter, B-B OPA2134PA for lowpass filter, and National LM4562 for output driver, but they have been installed with sockets, so very easy to try different opamps.
As can be seen in photos, the unit is built like a tank, with a compartmented, single-casting main chassis, for extreme rigidity & complete shielding between sections, and it's generally built with all of the best components Panasonic/Matsushita could make or buy. The unit alone weighs 36.3 pounds.
While not very useful as a dvd player, lacking hdmi outs, as a cd player, it is absolutely gorgeous & dynamic sounding. Fairly impossible to beat for the price, or even for under a grand.
It's just flat out a super nice cd player. I'm very fond of it, selling it only due to just not having enough time to radically upgrade it the way I'd wanted to.
Cosmetically, it's in really nice shape. Nearly all the flecks in the photos are dust, there being very few actual little scratches anywhere on the unit.
Comes with the original remote, in great shape.
