The stock Oppo BDP-105 is an amazing universal player that can play virtually every video and audio format (Blu Ray, SACD, Cd, 192/24, DSD, etc) and accept digital inputs vis USB, Ethernet, and S/PDIF coax. With the Modwright "Truth" tube upgrade, the 105 become a top-notch digital player/media player. According to the legendary Arnie Nudell, “with the right program material it does as good a job as anything conveying the musicality and emotion of a live concert.”
I'm the original owner of this Oppo 105. I have previously owned the Modwright Sony 9000ES and 5400ES, so I was not surprised by the substantial improvement to the Oppo 105. My Modwright has the optional "Truth" 5' umbilical cable ($300 extra), Bybee Rail ($230 extra), and Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX ($400 extra).
Included are the external power supply and brand new set of tubes (two 6SN7 and one 5AR4). The stock tubes have zero hours because I used NOS tubes (not included).
