Marantz DV9600 SACD/CD/DVD Player

The DV9600 is a well-designed and strongly built pre-Blu-Ray universal disc player. SACD and CD audio quality is typical Marantz house sound: smooth, detailed, and on the warmer side of the warm/analytical spectrum. I kept the player in my system through several amplifier and speaker upgrades, and only decided to sell because I want to give another enthusiast a chance to enjoy the fine sound quality.

I'm the second owner of this player, purchased locally when it was nearly new. The unit was in steady operation as an audio and video player. Cosmetically in very good condition; used in a nonsmoking household. It has 5.0 analogue RCA outputs for SACDs and DVD-As, and dedicated RCA stereo outs for two-channel audio systems. I tried the HDMI connection when I acquired a plasma screen set, and was very impressed by the vivid picture quality; previously, I had connected it with component cable to a CRT TV. A 2-meter HDMI cable, unused, is included in the purchase price.
