ARCAM FMJ DV27a Multi-Disc Player

Arcam FMJ DV27a - named "Editors' Choice" component by The Absolute Sound in its recommended "digital source components $2,000 to $4,000" category.

Both the Arcam FMJ CD 33 and and the FMJ DVD 27a share the Wolfson 8740 DAC and many other designs and components. The difference between the two players, however, is that the DVD 27a can output DVD video, and plays DVD audio (DVD-A) discs as well as HDCDs. It also plays SACD red book layer (only).

In the photos the DVD27a is the black unit. I've rated the unit as being in "good" condition only because it has some silver showing thru at the edges of the top front face plate which could easily be touched up. "FMJ" in Arcam's model line up stands for "full metal jacket" and weighing in at 13 lbs. reminds you just how solidly constructed the unit is.

The unit can be adapted to either 220V or 115V electric supply with a flick of the switch on the rear panel. I'll include a standard power cord but highly urge the successful bidder to use a good quality, shielded cord as the unit is worthy of such an investment.

The unit comes with the original remote control. Owner pays shipping charges which must include insurance as, even though the unit will be securely packed, I can't be held responsible for damages incurred in shipping.
